Description
This coffee is a fun one. The first of our Micro-lot Reserve line from our producer Erick Fabricio Torres. Deep into our mountains in a small pueblo called Los Planes, this is a very special variety that actually hails from Ethiopia. This Gesha variety is not an easy one to grow by any means, known to be extremely fickle, the perfect condition of shade, moisture and soil must be met in order to even get fruit. But if done correctly results in a very nuanced brew. This coffee in particular actually won a local competition with a score of 88.5 (very high score) and luckily we were able to get our hands on some! Giving you notes of lemon grass, milk chocolate and lavender. you will notice this one feels quite different to our other coffees. We recommend brewing this one up in a pour over to get you the best results.
