Having met at a wedding in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, Klaus and Vince were 2 long lost soul brothers looking for the same opportunity to do better for the planet within each other. Vince freshly out of his latest business endeavor, originally didn't drink/enjoy coffee because of the nasty bitter taste but when Klaus had him try his beans it completely changed Vince's world!
After smuggling 60lbs back to the states in his luggage and giving out to his friends and family. Everyone could not get enough of this smooth coffee. Vince also started to notice the people coming back claiming they didn't recieve heartburn and felt it gave them a much cleaner energy, all things klaus had attributed to the way of his process, farming techniques and the intention it was grown with.
All of this was the perfect brew for a partnership between US and Honduras, so they built a small facility for the community to process more coffee and began to sell direct to our customers
Luna Maki means "New Opportunity" in the indigenous Lenca language of the region and we have personified that idea with a proud Lenca woman looking directly into the eyes of our partners…You!
