The first picture are coffee beans that have been infected by insects and/or mold. These beans can be full of mycotoxins like ochratoxin, or aflatoxin.
These toxins are no bueno.
They can cause liver damage, brain fog, immune deficiency, headaches, and itchiness, etc.
Most conventional coffee can be full of these unwanted beans as the farmers/exporters are incentivized by quantity not quality.
We pay "Las Pollas", women in our community,  to hand sort through every bean pulling out anything that doesn't meet our standard.
